You Are This Perfect

Petracovich

A 2009 track has hit me again today (also with gorgeous keyboards) from a terrific album called CREPUSCULO. A masterful song that I think of every Memorial Day. It just makes you cry and celebrate life. Those little moments of joy we get to have now and then. I love the feeling this song evokes and Jessica’s quiet vocals. Her soft humming during the bridge and at the end just kills me. Take three minutes and listen to her sing and watch the music video which is a profound work of art. Remembering those today who lost their lives in war. 💔

My baby boy
Driftin on the world I
Think of you as I
Fall into landmines
Baby boy
I think of your soft hair
I'm floating through morning
To touch on the fields
You are this perfect
The morning sun shines on the dew
Of the flowers
It's just a mornin
It's just a sunrise
If it is my last one
I would have you close to me.
