I mentioned this great band the other day in my write up for the SPLIT ENZ tune I GOT YOU — and they’ve been on my mind ever since. Their music just holds up so well. Their songs are so good, they even find their way onto my daughter’s playlists. SINCE YOU’RE GONE (‘81) is easily one of my favorite singles from that decade. I love the way they carried those late seventies post-punk guitars with them into the 80’s and still embraced keyboards along the way. What a run they had beginning in ‘78 — just in time for MTV. Their music videos were always clever and funny. And this is one of the best. So sad to see the mover’s come and take everything away. 😅 😢
