IT WAS ANOTHER BEAUTIFUL, SUNNY DAY shooting in Ashland. So exhilarating to be immersed in the creative process with our cast, that I can’t go to sleep. Still up and playing music and it’s after midnight… 🕛

Day three awaits me at sunrise tomorrow but…I’m really feeling this one right now. After Karl Walinger’s SUNSHINE yesterday? I’m still kind of amazed he played a supporting role in THE WATERBOYS but left the band before this record. They wrote so many jubilant songs and performed them with such rocking passion and conviction. Just watch this video and read the lyrics. What a brilliant stretch they had between 83-90.

And this tune might actually be my all time favorite opening track to any album. 👀 The title track to the startling, brilliant FISHERMAN’S BLUES from ‘88. It just rips and moves me. And MIKE SCOTT as a front man is special. What…a…band. 🥰
