Lurgee

Radiohead

Lurgee is an ailment if you’re curious. Am I really picking three RADIOHEAD tunes in a row? Yes, I am. It’s not really my fault as I’ve been diving back into PABLO HONEY with nothing held back. I am so appreciating these tunes that have taken on a whole new shine. With the benefit of hindsight, it’s so easy to recognize this young band as a diamond in the rough. And this song just sounds so great all these years later — a simple electric guitar, bass guitar, drums and Thom Yorke’s falsetto. It’s just perfect rock/pop — radio friendly but still too good for radio if you know what I mean. It’s not CREEP but I sure like it better. There’s a sweet complexity to the lyrics and the band feels loose as they grind out the last minute together, taking us home. And when they do, it sure feels like they’re having fun.

I feel better
I feel better now you've gone
I got better
I got better, I got strong

I feel better
I feel better, now there's nothing wrong

I got better
I got better, I got strong

Tell me something
Tell me something I don't know
Tell me one thing
Tell me one thing, let it go

I got something
I got something heaven knows

I got something
I got something I don't know
