A Little More Free

Small moves. I remember this — of all things — from the Robert Zemeckis film CONTACT. Small moves, Ellie. Once upon a time I was a wide-eyed kid working on the WB lot in Hollywood and got to walk the set just out film school. I still remember being blown away by the little city. Even better, I still can see so many of the shots from this movie — burned into my young mind. Underrated film, almost forgotten in a way.

Long way to say this song brings to mind that idea. Each day, small moves towards what we desire. If we can be even just a little more free? Then it’s a victory. Love Rab’s subdued, melancholy, deep register vocals in this. This is one of those tunes that gets stuck in my head. ❤️
